Why we do this

Most of the small software you use has been bought, subscribed, or enshittified. A notes app is eight dollars a month. A todo list wants your email. A timer pops an ad. We make the tools we wanted for ourselves, and we give them away because none of these things should cost anything. It's funded from day jobs, not from you. If we ever can't afford to keep a tool running, we'll give you ninety days' notice and your data back. That's the contract.
